James Bond at Christie's South Kensington

Every Monday after class (which ends around 4:30-ish most days, some days a bit later) we have the opportunity to go to the Christie's showroom and see the auction preview for that week - auction previews display items that will be sold in that week's upcoming auction, whatever it may be.

Today, it was James Bond! Christie's South Kensington (the bigger/better/more expensive/more exclusive office is Christie's King Street in St. James) is having a charity auction and auctioning off 50 items used in past James Bond movies to celebrate 50 years of James Bond on film. This was probably my favorite item....only because I really want to try it on

There were many other exciting pieces though...I thought this was neat because Pierce Brosnan is definitely my favorite Bond...

but there are a TON of other pretty exciting things...these were fun and very striking - a complete set of 4 thunderball cinema posters

(Sean Connery is a close second to Pierce)

There is everything from the tarrot cards used by Jane Seymore in Live and Let Die...

To cars! They are auctioning off a pre-production replica BMW Z8 Roadster made for The World Is Not Enough

Then there is this gem...the teeny tiny swim trunks worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale...

(...to refresh your memory....here they are in action)

We also walked around the interiors sale happening this week but most of the items at South Kensington are there because they're not valuable enough to make it to Christie's King Street (the equivalent of Christie's NY in Rockerfeller Center). Still some neat things!

Great lectures today and great yoga class at the new gym I joined right around the corner. Off tomorrow to hit up a physical therapy sesh early in the morning before class. Keeping busy!!
