Today I went to the British Library and got a library card! Huge building.
Doing so required a proof of residency AND a signed piece of identification AND an example search for the types of books you would be looking up AND a meeting with a library representative who took your picture. They might as well have asked for the inseam measurement of my left leg.
Worth it though - new library card and new place to study and do research!
